I decided to go for Membership with CIOB to gain professional status, working with professionals for most of my career I became aware of a noticeable divide between those with professional status and those without (which shouldn’t be the case but that’s the reality). Becoming a Member and gaining professional status solidified the knowledge I already had, whilst recognising experience gained throughout my career. I also received encouragement from existing members who knew I was starting the process as they said they had found CIOB to be an excellent institute which had been an asset to them during their careers.

I found the process relatively straightforward, mainly due to the resources and support provided by Training LMS throughout. Noting however it was a huge amount of work during exam periods and during the professional review alongside busy work schedule. 

Training LMS guided me through the process from start to finish, the weekly lectures on Moodle were an excellent resource which could be caught up on, if I missed any. Additional sessions before the exams helped a lot and explained what I had to do. Paul Andrews was a great guide during the professional review process, available whenever I needed to chat over anything and gave me some great feedback on the application. I found everyone I dealt with at Training LMS to be professional, responsive and knowledgeable.
